These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Wootabase (wootabase.com, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Wootabase

Wootabase is a community-run, unofficial database for sharing profiles for Wooting analog keyboards. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Wooting.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be old enough to consent to these Terms in your country (at least 13).

3. User content

You retain ownership of the profiles, descriptions, comments and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Wootabase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Site. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the right to share it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit, upload or post content that:

• infringes anyone’s intellectual property or other rights;
• is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable;
• contains malware, or attempts to compromise the Site or other users;
• is spam, or is misleading or deceptive; or
• promotes or is intended to circumvent the rules, terms or anti-cheat systems of any game, including configurations marketed as evading bans.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, at our discretion.

5. Profiles are used at your own risk

User Content, including keyboard profiles, is provided by the community “as is”. Some games restrict or prohibit certain inputs or configurations, and using them may result in penalties or bans in those games. You are solely responsible for ensuring any profile you use complies with the rules of the games you play. Wootabase does not endorse the use of any configuration that violates a game’s rules.

6. Intellectual property

The Site’s name, design and original content are owned by Wootabase or its licensors. Game names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site links to and integrates third-party services (such as Discord sign-in, Cloudflare, Google Analytics and Google AdSense). We are not responsible for third-party services or their content; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wootabase and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Site or any User Content, including any game penalties resulting from the use of a profile.

10. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
